Jacksonville Vineyards 2005 Claret

Jacksonville Vineyards 2005 ClaretOwners Pamela and Dave Palmer have produced award winning Clarets since 2003. Known for their pleasing aromas and classically smooth tastes ranging from blackberry, raspberry and black cherry, with color clarity and brightness, our Bordeaux-styled wines are all aged in French Oak Barrels from 21 to 24 months, are carefully racked in our temperature controlled cellar and hand bottled at the peak of their complexity - with the owners desire for perfect balance between alcohol, fruit, pH, and tannins always paramount. Details like ultra-premium cork, and cellar-aging guarantee wines that will age for many decades.

Our 2005 Claret is a true Bordeaux blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 4% Malbec, giving it a rich fruitiness from the first whiff to the palate’s ever-lasting enjoyment! Alcohol at 14.5% and the rich tannins ensure this classic wine will age for years but is ready to enjoy today! Deep chocolate and cassis, mid-notes of cedar and raspberry, then a rewarding, round, warm finish.

Jacksonville Vineyards combines traditional farming with state-of-the-art cellar techniques. Our hand picked grapes grow on well drained south facing slopes that maximize the warm summer days of the Applegate Valley. Our vineyard methods are traditional; our cellar facilities are state-of-art; our way of life, gratifying.
